San Diego Vintage Trolley has acquired two post-war PCC Trolley cars from a private collector in Lake Tahoe. These cars are similar in style and appearance to the PCC cars which operated throughout San Diego from 1936 to 1949, before they were replaced by a new bus fleet.

We have great plans for these cars! The mission of San Diego Vintage Trolley, Inc. , a non-profit subsidiary of MTS, is to restore them to their original operating condition, including painting them in the same style as the San Diego cars of the 1930¹s and 40¹s, using voluntary labor and funding from public, private, and in-kind donations.

     Then, working with the MTS, we will provide San Diegans and visitors the opportunity to ride into the past, enjoying views of San Diego¹s Ballpark District, Gaslamp Quarter, Seaport Village, and Downtown thought the eyes of our trolley past.
